We’ve got a new family pet, our little Sputnik.

Monday we got nailed all day w/ snow and it looks like that might be the case friday. Slow cookers and a bread machine with a timer are wonderful things on such days…

So, after a lovely morning with the family. I came home to find my desktop had bit the dust, so I did a reinstall on the 2nd drive in the box (SATA). Luckily I only had vista on there for a few weeks and had nothing but a browser and games loaded. I miss ubuntu some days, if it wasn’t for gaming I would have zero need for windows. Even that is a hard sell these days for me. That old 40GB drive sure lasted through a lot of machines though…

The whole event caused me to price out a new Quad core box, which for ~1.3k is a wicked nice gaming rig. Still pondering…

Also, after kicking off the new install went to dinner with friends, then took the gf down to Plum Island to watch the stars and the moon rise. Even got some fireworks in the distance being Labor day. Was a pretty night. Now to reload the games, ponder that new box, and get some shut eye.

Finished moving everything over, and added the gallery. Though the gallery still needs updating more…
